What is Mediation?

Mediation is a voluntary and confidential process whereby a trained neutral facilitator (mediator) enables parties in a dispute to find their own way forward that is considerate of the positions, needs and interests of all parties.

Does Mediation Work?

Yes. Research is showing that mediation is the most successful of the conflict resolution processes and has a success rate of over 80% either at, or shortly after, the mediation.

What does the Mediator do?

The Mediator manages the mediator process, and is an expert in encouraging positive communication between the parties so that they can arrive at their own resolution. In a nutshell, the role of the mediator can be set out as follows:
